Teaching and Assessing the WA State K–12 Math Learning Standards in 2015–2016 (3 Hour Session) LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

After four years of transitioning instruction to the standards and two years of using the Smarter Balanced assessment system in Washington, what have we learned? OSPI staff will share ideas for using available resources, including the Principles to Action, to support instruction. Thoughts on maximizing the potential of the three-part assessment system will be discussed. Bring a laptop/tablet and your log in information for the Digital Library as we will explore using this tool to inform instruction through a formative assessment process. Using the interim assessments will also be discussed. Participants will develop an understanding of how to support students’ mathematical development aligned to the Washington State K–12 Learning Standards, with the goal of preparing them for college and careers.
