How do you use your science textbook to more effectively support your students in explaining science phenomena?

How can you shift your classroom practice from learning about science ideas to figuring out science phenomena?

This presentation will provide secondary science teachers with an instructional model and scaffolding tools to help promote literacy development in their science classrooms. Science teachers will learn about a framework for organizing instruction that promotes literacy development through speaking, reading, and writing grounded in evidence.
