West Sound Summer Institute 2015

Open to Bremerton School District only:
Celeste will give classroom teachers (Grades 6-10) an easy and dynamic way to meet curriculum standards and competencies through the use of her book, “Engineering Made Easy” and she will provide an overview of her PPT presentations: “32 Engineering Careers.” She will guide you through lessons and activities to actively engage students in learning about engineering and our technological world by applying creativity and innovation as they complete the projects. The activities do not require a formal science lab and can be done with materials that are inexpensive and easy to find. You will leave this session with practical hands on ideas that you can easily implement in your classrooms.

Thinking about beginning National Board Certification for CTE? This 90 minute session will provide you with insight from two veteran CTE teachers that completed and passed NBs in 2014. Ask questions, gather resources, and meet other CTE teachers you can stay in touch with as you complete your NBs.

Discover how you can add a CTE endorsement through Olympic College's CTE Teacher Prep program--one of six approved providers by the Professional Education Standards Board! Classes are on the OC campus, available evenings and Saturdays, reasonably priced and instructed by local, retired and experienced CTE directors.
